MxV Rail welcomes Reiling as Senior AVP Business Development

Apr 30, 2024

Jason Reiling has joined MxV Rail as Senior Assistant Vice President Business Development, bringing decades of experience spanning engineering, manufacturing, corporate strategic planning, and sales.

Reiling will be responsible for cultivating business from a broad range of railroad stakeholders to expand MxV Rail’s opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and resiliency in the global rail market. Building on MxV Rail’s 40-year legacy and world-class research and testing services, Reiling looks forward to leveraging the new site infrastructure to engage with clients in new, and more responsive ways.

Reiling is coming to MxV Rail from Strato, Inc. where he held various roles for over 20 years. For years, he led the new product development and supporting engineering teams, and most recently served as business unit leader for the air brake division. He is pleased to be continuing his career with the rail industry, where he’s grown a network of colleagues and friends, and now has the opportunity to support these colleagues in moving the industry forward.

Reiling earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Reiling says he always gravitated to new product development and technical commercial opportunities.

“I want to develop personal relationships that lead to the resolution of our greatest technical challenges,” said Reiling. “Leveraging the talents and technical expertise that runs deep at MxV Rail, we can build research programs that benefit the industry and encompass all needs of the customer. We have the best engineers and railroading talent, and this is an opportunity to bring my background to help bridge the technical and commercial aspects of railroading.”

Reiling remains active in the railways’ committee work and regularly presents to technical committees, including ASME, the Air Brake Association, and the Canadian Air Brake Association. When not on the road with customers, he will split time between the East Coast and MxV Rail headquarters in Pueblo, CO.
