Farnborough International Airshow 2026, the world's most international aerospace event, and the Barrie Wells Trust are celebrating a decade of partnership.
Over the last 10 years, the Barrie Wells Trust and Farnborough International Airshow have hosted over 660 guests across 22 chalets. Farnborough International and its clients are honored to donate and organize money can’t buy experiences during the internationally renowned airshow for seriously ill and disabled children and their families, invited by the Barrie Wells Trust’s Box4Kids initiative.
As part of its public-focused day, Pioneers of Tomorrow, on 24 July 2026, Farnborough International Airshow is planning out-of-this-world activities for the hundreds of Box4Kids guests and volunteers. Aerospace industry leaders attending the airshow, including Embraer, Accenture, ATI, Honeywell and Kallman, are providing exclusive chalets, aircraft tours, meetings with pilots and activities for the guests to immerse themselves in.
Discussing the event, Barrie Wells, founder of the Barrie Wells Trust and Box4Kids, said: “I am absolutely delighted that the Barrie Wells Trust is partnering with Farnborough International Airshow again at their Pioneers of Tomorrow event. This is unquestionably one of our top Box4Kids events for the year. This year’s collaboration is especially meaningful as we celebrate 10 years of partnership together. A decade of creating unforgettable experiences and inspiring memorable opportunities for seriously ill children and their families - thanks to the incredible support of Farnborough International Airshow and the wonderful generosity of exhibitors and industry partners. I am looking forward to another brilliant Box4Kids event at the airshow in July.”
Joe Muir, Commercial Aerospace Director, Farnborough International, added: “Farnborough International Airshow has been a proud host of Box4Kids since 2016, and we value the opportunity to support the charity and the families and provide incredible experiences for them to cherish with our exhibitors. Supporting the next generation is a key focus for us, and we look forward to hosting the families at our Pioneers of Tomorrow day at the Farnborough International Airshow.”
Barrie Wells MBE created the Barrie Wells Trust in 2009, where he remains the sole funder. Following a successful career as a financial services entrepreneur, Barrie turned to philanthropy, opting to give away his money in his own lifetime. He invented Box4Kids in 2010, which invites seriously ill children to enjoy a sporting or entertainment event from the comfort and luxury of an executive box. Over 320 different companies donate boxes and chalets across 173 venues, and the Trust has a network of over 200 hospitals and hospices across the country that nominate children for Box4Kids events. The children invited have a range of life-limiting conditions, and to date, over 27,0000 guests have enjoyed a Box4Kids experience.
