Apr 29, 2024

Mi-Jack Products, the industry leader for container terminal and material handling equipment and technology, has announced the addition of the newest line of PDS-ready yard and terminal tractors in collaboration with Terberg Taylor Americas, designed to keep up with the toughest industry demands. These efficient yard and terminal tractors (also known as shunt trucks), featuring durability, comfort, and an optional zero emissions model, are positioned to enhance efficiency and productivity for container terminals, distribution centers, and warehouse operations across the nation.

Commenting on the new partnership, Mi-Jack Products Sales and Engineering Manager Rob Heinz remarked, “Mi-Jack has represented Taylor Machine Works for over 13 years, and we are excited to increase our portfolio offerings by adding terminal tractors produced by Terberg Taylor Americas. We are three like-minded, family-owned companies producing machines manufactured in the United States. ”

The new yard and terminal tractors (YT193/YT223 and YT203-EV) boast enhanced durability, serviceability, and redesigned ergonomic features. Improved accessibility to mechanical and electrical components enhances productivity, with diesel (YT193/YT223) and electric (YT203-EV) options catering to diverse fuel and power sources.

The YT203-EV, powered by a robust electric motor, offers flexibility with various battery capacities, featuring a thermal management system for global usability across both hot and cold climates. It utilizes standard DC chargers for convenient charging and a multifunctional design ensures easy access to components, minimizing maintenance downtime.

Mi-Jack Products’ Position Detection System Equipment (PDS-Ready), an advanced GPS tracking system using precision navigation crucial for terminal operators, distribution centers, and warehouses, is a crucial component for this collaboration. Exceptionally reliable and accurate, real-time PDS and inventory management systems utilize GPS and GNSS technology to manage product transportation and location. By providing the option to seamlessly integrate Terberg Taylor Americas’ indispensable vehicles with Mi-Jack’s PDS solutions, terminal operators and distribution centers can expect heightened efficiency and enhanced security.

“Mi-Jack Products has always been a customer focused industry leader in providing the best equipment to the Intermodal Industry and their service providers. With these additional offerings combined with expanding our territory to the thirteen counties of Southern California we plan to continue to provide the highest quality machines to both our existing and new customers,” Heinz stated.

Terberg Taylor Americas is renowned for its high-performance vehicles, where special features come as standard:

• Redesigned ergonomic cab design with easy to reach controls and exceptionally comfortable cabin suspension.

• Easily accessible mechanical and electrical components with covers, bumpers and windows that are easy to replace.
