‘Green’ credentials win recognition for Dimerco

Jul 06, 2022

Global freight forwarder Dimerco has achieved international standards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 for its environmental management and occupational health and safety management systems for its subsidiary in China, reflecting the company’s long commitment to sustainable operations.

ISO 14001 helps organizations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, while ISO 45001 is the world’s first international standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S), and provides a framework to increase safety, reduce workplace risks and enhance the health and well-being of workers.

Dimerco has developed innovative Business Intelligence Technology (BIT) mobile applications, to support a paperless and ‘greener’ working environment, and has implemented various sustainability programs not only on recycling and water conservation, but particularly on energy saving.

The company has also been recognized by trade publication Inbound Logistics, with Dimerco being named as one of the 75 companies chosen by the editor that demonstrate extraordinary effort to ensure more sustainable global supply chains. All 75 ‘Green Supply Chain Partners 2022’, are companies, like Dimerco, who are dedicated to developing and implementing best practices that leave a positive footprint on the world.

Dimerco’s Central Service Center (CSC) commented, “Sustainability and responsible operations are important priorities for Dimerco and for our customers, who expect us to meet the highest standards. We are working to continually improve our environmental credentials, and the achievement of international standards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is independent verification of our compliance with current and future statutory and regulatory requirements.

By embracing sustainable practices, we can better deliver benefits to our customers and to our employees, while improving efficiency, increasing productivity and reducing cost. We are proud to have been recognized as a leader in setting ‘green’ standards in the industry.”
