Dieter Schneider to lead expansion of Carousel Logistics customs brokerage

Oct 22, 2025

Carousel Logistics has appointed Dieter Schneider as its new Customs and Brokerage Director to expand its service offering and better understand evolving customer needs amid ongoing global economic uncertainty.

Schneider brings over twenty years’ experience to the role and will lead Carousel’s expansion into new markets as well as the rollout of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to complement existing electronic data interchange, and optical character recognition solutions.

“I was drawn to Carousel Logistics for its strong focus on customer service, specialized expertise in time critical logistics, and the opportunity to be part of a growing, dynamic team,” said Dieter Schneider, Customs and Brokerage Director, Carousel Logistics.

“The global economic outlook can be summarized in one word: unpredictable. With tariffs, sanctions, new sustainability requirements, and ongoing changes to the UK-EU border, it has never been more important to have a trusted customs broker by your side.”

Carousel’s independently audited, in-house customs brokers are fully accredited as an AEO (Authorized Economic Operator), and use a bespoke service management platform, Gateway.

“Borders should not be blockers to trade, or hurdles to overcome,” added Schneider.

“Whether it be a different customs procedure, or the use of preferential agreements to save cost, there are often more efficient means to achieve customers’ goals, rather than simply relying on familiar methods.

“I look forward first to listening to the needs of our customers, before working with the team to expand our brokerage offering into new markets, optimize existing processes, and introduce new technologies to further improve compliance, accuracy, and productivity.”

This forms part of a wider growth strategy by the pan-European DANX Carousel Group as it strengthens its position as a leading time-critical logistics provider through strategic acquisitions in key markets.
