WiseTech Global and IQAX enhances De Well Group’s freight forwarding efficiency

Jun 16, 2025

Global Shipping Business Network is supporting a collaboration between IQAX and WiseTech Global to streamline electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) processes within CargoWise in a pilot with De Well Group.

The collaboration sees global logistics software solutions provider WiseTech Global integrate CargoWise, the leading logistics operating system used by the world’s largest freight forwarders, with IQAX’s eBL solution over GSBN’s data infrastructure. This enables freight forwarders to transfer and surrender eBLs directly within the CargoWise platform, without the need to access or switch to external systems.

De Well Group, a supply chain and logistics company, is the first to participate in the pilot. Carrier COSCO Shipping first harnesses IQAX to issue an eBL over GSBN, which enables the secure and efficient transfer of digital shipping documents. The new connection between IQAX eBL and CargoWise over GSBN enables users to complete the eBL transfer and surrender process within a single platform, CargoWise. With access to eBL structured data, logistic platforms can leverage GSBN to provide new features or better service to their customers.

“The integration of IQAX eBL with the CargoWise platform via GSBN allows us to manage the transfer and surrender of eBLs all in one place. This seamless integration significantly enhances the efficiency and user experience for us, also ensuring smoother, faster, and more secure document handling throughout the supply chain. Such streamlined approach reduces potential errors introduced when inputting data and switching between different systems,” De Well Groupsaid.

“This streamlined process not only simplifies the user journey but also allows companies to focus on their core activities, ultimately boosting operational efficiency. The integration with CargoWise has only been made possible through GSBN’s secure and trusted infrastructure. Such integrations are essential to encourage more customers and freight forwarders to fully harness the eBL,” said Lionel Louie, IQAX Chief Commercial Officerat IQAX.

WiseTech Global’s solutions, including the CargoWise platform, are trusted by over 16,500 logistics organizations worldwide, including 24 of the top 25 global freight forwarders and 46 of the top 50 global third-party logistics providers (3PLs).

“This collaboration with GSBN and IQAX enables freight forwarders and 3PLs to request, receive and process COSCO Shipping eBLs without having to leave CargoWise, vastly simplifying and streamlining communication between shippers, carriers, and consignees. The pilot with De Well Group demonstrates that the adoption of eBLs and replacing manual processes across multiple IT systems with a single user interface, enhances the user experience, reduces errors and subsequently increases productivity. Together, GSBN, IQAX, WiseTech, COSCO Shipping and De Well Group are proving the benefits and path forward for adopting eBLs. And we are excited about extending the collaboration to other carriers who have implemented IQAX eBL, such as OOCL,” said Andrew Cartledge, Interim CEO at WiseTech Global.

Bertrand Chen, CEO of GSBN, said: " This integration between WiseTech Global and IQAX over GSBN with eBL at the core, is a great example of how our infrastructure is enabling our growing ecosystem to adopt eBL without having to switch context from their preferred tools. Our mission is to fast track the adoption as much as we can by making the lives of users like De Well Group easier.”
