Truck-Lite celebrates 70 years  

Truck-Lite is celebrating 70 years in the business of developing and producing cutting-edge lighting, harness and electronic system solutions.

Since Truck-Lite’s founding in 1955 with the introduction of the first sealed lamp for commercial vehicles, the company has been a leader in vehicle lighting, harness and electronic solutions. Today, they offer over 5,000 certified, compliant, and performance-tested products, along with the industry’s leading lifetime warranty.

Some milestones in Truck-Lite’s history include:

• 1955- Truck-Lite established

• 1962 - World’s First Independent Ground Wiring System

• 1979 - Expansion into harness systems with the world’s first sealed wiring harness system

• 1993 - Introduced world-first LED S/T/T lamp

• 1998 – Introduced LED lighting to the military market

• 2000s - Global growth through acquisitions and digital innovation

• 2012 - Introduced world’s first custom-designed LED headlight for Class 8 Trucks

• 2022 - Truck-Lite Headquarters moved to Penn State Behrend Knowledge Park in Erie, PA
