Self-service platform, eezyimport, adds functionality to its BINA, AI-powered HTS coding tool

eezyimport, a logistics technology company known for the development of online, self-service freight and Customs technology solutions for importers, announces new features to its AI-enabled BINA (Borderless Import Navigation AI) free text to HTS (harmonized tariff schedule) code identifier tool. BINA is at no cost to users, and tariff and duty data is constantly updated.

In addition to easily identifying import goods HTS classification codes and tariffs for Customs clearance, BINA now has the following features:

  • The Catalog tool: An easy reference import database for a users’ products and HTS codes. Users can save their work and log previous searches, avoiding repetitive and time-consuming tasks
  • Integrated fee calculator: Calculates the exact tariff rates and duties based on the country of origin and value of the import goods. The BINA database of international tariffs and duty rates is dynamic and always up-to-date providing a reliable tool for pricing imports.

With these new capabilities, BINA expands its value to shippers increasing data accuracy, and driving time and cost savings.

As an AI-enabled application, BINA’s effectiveness and accuracy consistently improves as the number of eezyimport users increases. The Machine Learning model continuously improves the applications’ algorithms.
