Aug 24, 2022

RailWorks Corp., the leading North American specialty construction and maintenance rail contractor, has acquired California based H&H Engineering Construction, Inc. (H&H), a rail maintenance and construction contractor for the Western United States providing services for transit, ports, freight railroads, and rail served industrial companies.

H&H has been a trusted name in the railroad industry for decades. This highly qualified team of seasoned railroad professionals will provide RailWorks with the additional capacity to serve maintenance and construction clientele in the western region. “RailWorks is a specialty contractor with an expansive portfolio servicing both maintenance contracts and large projects in the U.S. and Canada, said Bob Hallanger, H&H President and CEO, and I’m thrilled for our employees to join a strong contractor with a great reputation.”

RailWorks has an unrivaled network of resources strategically located in key rail hubs across North America. “The addition of H&H solidifies our position within the western region to provide unmatched service,” said Richard Carney, RailWorks Executive Vice President of Regional Services. He went on to say, “They have a great reputation within the industry for their quality of work and on time execution. We are excited to welcome them into our company and continue to expand our business.” The existing footprint of RailWorks already creates a strong position to deliver best in class service for maintenance, repair work, and major projects in North America. The acquisition of H&H will strengthen our ability to better service our customers. “H&H is built upon the principles of safety and quality, which compliments the foundation of RailWorks and strengthens our geographic expansion in areas where we see significant growth opportunities,” said Kevin Riddett, RailWorks President and CEO.
