Quantix receives some of the first Peterbilt 579 electric vehicles

Sep 01, 2022

Peterbilt and Quantix have unveiled some of the first 579EVs, which Quantix will use for drayage operation in its Charleston and Savannah facilities. The company is one of the first in the nation to receive the 579EVs.

Quantix, the leading supply chain services company to the chemical industry, has an extensive network of over 50 terminals and warehousing and packaging facilities nationwide. The Quantix fleet includes over 3,000 trucks and trailers. The company chose the Peterbilt Model 579EV as the perfect gateway to reach one of its environmental sustainability goals over the next ten years.

“Quantix has very aggressive sustainability goals, and we intend to have 25% of our last mile and drayage fleet powered by alternative fuels by 2030,” said Chris Ball, Quantix CEO and President. “The Peterbilt Model 579EVs represent another step as Quantix moves to a greener, safer and smarter future.”
