Polar King welcomes Hughes as a sales representative 

Polar King, a leading provider of refrigerated and freezer walk-in units, is pleased to announce that Mike Hughes has joined the company as an outside sales representative. In this role, Hughes will be part of Polar King’s territory sales team, working directly with dealers and customers to support continued growth.

Hughes brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience to his role at Polar King, and he is a familiar face, having previously worked at Polar Leasing, says Polar King President Dave Schenkel.

“We’re delighted for Mike to join our team and make an immediate impact,” Schenkel says. “It’s not every day that someone joins your company who already knows your business inside and out. Mike had tremendous success at Polar Leasing, and I know we can count on the same.”

Hughes worked at Polar Leasing from 2014-2023, where he was both a territory sales representative and eventually sales director. Polar Leasing offers Polar King’s walk-in refrigerated and freezer units as leased options, whereas Polar King cold storage solutions are for purchase.

Between 2023 and 2025, Hughes worked at Johnstone Supply and SVN Parke Group. He is a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science.
