Polar King invests in advanced training for refrigeration department

Jan 19, 2026

Polar King International, the industry leader in walk-in refrigerator and freezer coolers, has strengthened its refrigeration department by investing in advanced technical training for three team members. By earning this certification, Polar King’s refrigeration department is better equipped to support customers with faster diagnostics, more precise installations, and enhanced maintenance expertise.

Michael Tippmann, Donnie Tippmann and Riley Miller recently completed Heatcraft’s Certified Contractor training program, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. With the training, the three refrigeration department specialists are better equipped to deliver consistent, reliable refrigeration maintenance solutions for customers.

“This type of hands-on, manufacturer-led training directly benefits our customers, and it reiterates our commitment to professional development for our employees,” says Polar King Owner Barry Tippmann. “By expanding our in-house expertise, we’re improving response times, reducing downtime, and reinforcing the long-term reliability that Polar King walk-in units are known for.”

Polar King designs and manufactures outdoor walk-in coolers and freezers engineered for long-term performance in any climate. Headquartered in Fort Wayne, Polar King offers fiberglass, seamless, one-piece walk-in refrigeration solutions available for purchase, rent or mobile use.

Built on more than four decades of experience, Polar King’s outdoor walk-in coolers and freezers serve restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, government agencies and industrial operations nationwide. All units are manufactured in the Midwest and are designed to deliver consistent temperature control, durability and peace of mind refrigeration.

All Polar King walk-in units are NSF and ISO certified, and ground-resting ones are City of Houston and Miami-Dade County approved, verifying they’re built to withstand the harshest environments.
