Not lost in translation: Carrier Logistics enables multi-language capabilities

Jun 06, 2023

Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI), veteran providers of freight management software for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) fleets, today announced it is breaking down language barriers that can hamper the productivity and efficiency of LTL dock operations. With the new Multi-Language feature of its Dock Management System, CLI customers now have an automatic translation capability that supports English, Spanish, French as well as other languages.

“With increasing diversity in their workforce, LTL carriers have to address language barriers in their cross-dock operations,” said Ben Wiesen, president of CLI. “Our new Multi-Language feature automatically translates messages so supervisors and dock personnel can communicate effectively and seamlessly no matter what language they speak. By addressing the issues caused by differing languages in this way, we are able to help our customers improve service by reducing misunderstandings that can slow down cross-dock operations and lead to misdirected freight.”

The Multi-Language feature now included in the FACTS Dock Management System offers faster translation without the need for a human interpreter. For example, supervisors and dock workers can enter instructions regarding load, equipment, door and shipment details into the system. The solution then automatically and instantly translates the information and presents it in each person’s chosen native language.

Carrier Logistics FACTS™ is the premier solution for meeting the unique transportation and freight management needs of asset-based LTL carriers and the last mile industry. FACTS includes online customer shipping tools, dispatch and driver management, a superior rate engine, cross dock management, and a full back-office suite that give transportation professionals the tools they need to operate cost-effectively while providing improved freight visibility to their customers.
