Magaya Corporation, the leading freight management platform for logistics service providers, today announced the launch of the Broker AI Assistant for Magaya Customs Compliance, a revolutionary AI-powered customs filing solution that automates the manual process of extracting data from commercial invoices to expedite the completion of customs documentation.
With no standardized format for commercial invoices, filers have, until now, spent lengthy amounts of time manually extracting data, line by line, into customs filing software. The Broker AI Assistant uses AI to extract data from any PDF or spreadsheet commercial invoice and create an Entry in Magaya Customs Compliance. Users can also add to existing Entry forms or export data to a spreadsheet for easy upload to other forms such as e214 and In-Bond.
In addition to digitizing and importing the raw data from commercial invoices, Broker AI Assistant recommends the correct HTS classification codes, saving time and helping avoid errors. What used to take several minutes per line item is reduced to seconds.
“At Magaya, our mission is to harness innovation to simplify complex tasks, and few areas are more intricate than customs compliance,” said Gary Nemmers, Chief Executive Officer at Magaya. “We’re excited to bring AI into the mix, and the Broker AI Assistant is a perfect example of how this technology can make a significant impact on the daily operations of customs brokers and importers.”
