Cleo takes aim at the supply chain risks no one sees

Cleo, the global leader in AI-native supply chain orchestration solutions through its Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) platform, today announced a significant update to its Chargeback Prevention solution for retail suppliers. The release introduces three new major capabilities:

- AI-Powered Anomaly Detection – Agents automatically analyze data patterns to proactively surface risks and demand signals, allowing users to act before business damage is done.

- Dynamic Insights – Conversational intelligence provides users personalized information in real time. Simply ask a question about your supply chain transactions, and get an instant response — no delays, no manual analysis.

- 3PL Order Intelligence – Extends Cleo’s live order view into warehousing and 3PL fulfillment workflows when utilizing outsourced fulfillment and multi-enterprise order management.

“Retail suppliers are under constant pressure to move faster while maintaining compliance performance across increasingly complex fulfillment networks,” said Mahesh Rajasekharan, President and CEO of Cleo. “Cleo Integration Cloud helps companies identify operational risks earlier, gain actionable intelligence faster, and prevent costly chargebacks, fines, and deductions before they happen. The result is not only improved margins, but growth of the top line through stronger customer relationships.”

Building on the foundation of Cleo’s live order view — which shifted businesses from reactive deductions management to proactive chargeback prevention — this release closes gaps that persist in traditional order processes between enterprises and systems, data and decisions, and insights and action.

Together, these capabilities enable supply chain, operations, and finance teams to detect exceptions earlier, surface insights faster, and act with confidence.

“One of the biggest risks in supply chain operations is the anomaly no one sees. Volume fluctuations across hundreds of partner and document combinations often go unnoticed until they trigger downstream consequences such as missed shipment commitments, compliance penalties, or delayed payments,” Rajasekharan continued. “Cleo addresses this with AI-native anomaly detection that continuously analyzes activity across the CIC platform. The system identifies revenue-impacting deviations and surfaces risks immediately — before they escalate into business impact.”

Dynamic Insights tackles another persistent challenge: delayed access to actionable data. Business teams frequently depend on IT or analysts to generate reports or investigate issues, slowing response times.

With a unified analytics experience that combines live dashboards, drill-down analysis, and a conversational AI interface, users can ask natural-language questions and receive immediate, contextual answers. This puts operational intelligence directly in the hands of business users, enabling faster decision-making and execution.

The release also expands Cleo’s support for 3PL fulfillment operations. For companies relying on outsourced logistics, coordination across systems, partners, and document flows introduces additional complexity and risk.

By extending its live order view into 3PL environments, Cleo enables end-to-end orchestration — from retailer purchase order through warehouse execution to final shipment. This provides greater visibility, tighter coordination, and improved compliance across multi-enterprise workflows.

“The goal of Chargeback Prevention has always been to move businesses from reactive deductions management to proactive, AI-native orchestration. Anomaly detection, dynamic insights, and extended 3PL support represent the next step in that journey, from purchase order to payment,” Rajasekharan concluded.

These capabilities are available now to Cleo’s Orchestration Edition customers. Anomaly detection is automatically enabled for eligible partner and document combinations, requiring no configuration.
