Low water surcharge – River Rhine

Due to the decreasing water levels on the River Rhine at Pegel Kaub and Pegel Ruhrort, our barge operators are charging a Low Water Surcharge (LWS) based on the water level applicable.

Please be reminded that this Low Water Surcharge will appear on your Ocean Network Express invoice as LWS LOW WATER SURCHARGE. The Tariff is available to view on the ONE website under Local Surcharges for the respective Countries and is illustrated below for your convenience.

For barge transports routed via the inland terminals located in: Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Emmerich, Neuss, Koln, Bonn, and Trier.

For barge transports routed via the inland terminals located in: Mainz, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, Worth, Stuttgart, Strasbourg and Basel.
