Kinaxis and 4flow announce new network design application for Maestro

Feb 04, 2025

Kinaxis and 4flow have expanded their collaboration with the launch of Kinaxis Network Design by 4flow, a new application to enhance supply chain network transparency and optimization. Integrated within Kinaxis Maestro, the solution provides users with comprehensive insights into their networks. These insights include key metrics such as costs, lead times, emissions, inventory and service levels. Organizations are empowered to make data-driven decisions and efficiently optimize their networks.

In today’s dynamic markets, where global delivery flows and unpredictable events require immediate action, businesses need visibility into their networks. This transparency is essential to make quick, data-driven allocation decisions that maintain high service levels, ensure stock availability and still minimize total logistics costs.

For Maestro users, Kinaxis Network Design by 4flow offers instant transparency and optimization capabilities across their entire network. Through network modeling, visualization and KPI analysis, users have a clear view of their current network within minutes. The application can also track changes in demand or transportation routes over time, supporting a proactive approach to network management.

Kinaxis Network Design by 4flow employs advanced data analytics to identify trends, cost drivers and risks across the network, facilitating targeted improvements. This allows users to quickly optimize their supply chains based on key factors such as costs, lead times or service levels.

Built-in carbon emissions analysis enables organizations to track and reduce their carbon footprint. In addition, the software measures greenhouse gases, carbon emission intensities and air pollutants so supply chain teams can improve their overall sustainability.

Additionally, center of gravity analysis helps network planners pinpoint optimal warehouse locations by analyzing flows between supply and demand.

The application’s inventory allocation optimization function supports users to optimize product allocation across their warehouse networks. Users can also explore the total cost impact of various service level scenarios and identify the need for additional warehouse space.

The integration of Kinaxis Network Design by 4flow in Maestro enables a seamless user experience. All relevant supply chain data are synchronized between Maestro and Network Design on demand, enabling continuous planning and data updates.

Kinaxis Network Design by 4flow is the latest addition to the joint offerings of Kinaxis and 4flow. The existing portfolio of applications and services includes the Kinaxis TLO by 4flow app for transportation optimization, as well as implementation of both Kinaxis TLO by 4flow and Kinaxis Maestro. With Kinaxis Network Design, 4flow continues to be the key Kinaxis partner for network design and transportation applications.
