Fleet Advantage exhibits at The Advanced Clean Transportation Expo

May 14, 2024

Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in specialty financing, fleet data analytics, fleet management services, and life cycle cost management, announced today it is exhibiting at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo from May 20-23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in booth #1809. Company executives will be on hand to provide solutions to today’s top transportation challenges, including transitioning to alternative fuels and preparing for the CARB Prebuy.

Fleet Advantage experts will be offering live demonstrations of the company’s EV Life Cycle Cost Analysis Tool, EVAN, which utilizes advanced data analytics to help fleets determine whether to transition heavy-duty trucks from diesel to EV “green trucks.” The team will also help attendees plan for their CARB pre-buy by offering allocation consultations, along with discussions on truck specifications, fleet portfolio, and operational initiatives. Access To Innovative Alternate Fuel Decisioning Tools

Environmental preservation has been a wake-up call to many organizations and Fleet Advantage is helping clients progress toward a carbon-free future in a viable way. The company offers a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) Tech Stack that powers advanced analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) to help fleets leverage data, asset management and flexible financing to identify and act upon vehicle obsolescence while sustainably driving down operational costs and increasing profit levels. This combination is proving to be a key strategy in helping companies determine the right adoption method for newer vehicles. Considering various inputs, EVAN determines the right adoption method for alternate fuel vehicles, which in many cases remains focused on adopting clean-diesel technology.

In particular, renewable diesel has been in focus as of late, with The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) recently releasing a new report that analyzes the benefits of employing renewable diesel (RD) as an alternative to battery electric vehicle (BEV) trucks.

Overall, ATRI estimated that a transition to BEV for long-haul trucking will cost over $1 trillion in electric infrastructure and vehicle purchase costs over 15 years. However, to achieve similar CO2 benefits with RD, ATRI estimates a price tag of $203 billion, a significant cost savings for achieving the same environmental benefits.

Identifying The Right CARB Prebuy Strategy

With the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) push for zero-emission heavy-duty trucks in California and other states, organizations with transportation fleets face critical decisions in their equipment procurement plans. Because of this push, organizations with fleets are considering moving up new-truck orders to ensure the equipment will have advanced technologies that support greater emissions reductions. Fleet Advantage will also be at the show helping fleet attendees build the right CARB prebuy strategy for their organizations so they can avoid taking a reactionary approach to their procurement cycle in trying to join in on the prebuy cycles.

At the show, Fleet Advantage will also unveil results of a new industry-wide survey that reviews the pulse of how companies are preparing for the CARB pre-buy. Fleet executives are encouraged to stop by booth #1809 to see results and discuss their plans with the team.

“Having proper analytic resources, as well as access to a proven asset management team that can build a proactive plan will help fleets satisfy their sustainability goals while being mindful toward the bottom line,” said Hadley Benton, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Fleet Advantage. “The fleets that operate with the lowest cost of ownership are the ones that subscribe to this flexible and environmentally responsible procurement strategy. By leveraging actionable data, fleets can focus on their operations and achieve a lower total cost of ownership, while gradually transitioning to emission-free trucks.”
