Avia Solutions Group delivered Airbus A319-100 to Ukrainian Windrose Airlines

Jul 31, 2025

Aircraft leasing and trading services company AviaAM Leasing Service Centre (AviaAM Leasing), a subsidiary of the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider Avia Solutions Group, has successfully delivered an Airbus A319-100 aircraft to Ukraine’s Windrose Airlines. The aircraft was delivered under a dry lease agreement. The lease term runs until the end of 2025.

The project has been completed in partnership with Australian airline Smartlynx Australia, also part of Avia Solutions Group. AviaAM Leasing leased the Airbus A319-100 fuselage to Smartlynx Australia, which then subleased the entire aircraft to Windrose.

„This agreement reflects our long-term approach – supporting our partners when it matters most.” says Rytis Kriunas, Deputy CEO at AviaAM Leasing. “We're grateful to our team and our group partner SmartLynx Australia for their strong cooperation. Special thanks to Windrose Airlines – it’s a privilege to contribute to their continued growth in a challenging environment.”

Gytis Gumuliauskas, CEO at Smartlynx Australia, is pleased for the airline to have facilitated this important transaction: “We’re proud to play our role in supporting Ukraine's aviation sector. Complex projects like this require strong partnerships and shared commitment, and we're grateful to work alongside such professional teams to deliver results that matter.”

Established in 2003, Windrose Airlines is a Ukrainian charter airline based at Boryspil International Airport in Kyiv. While local commercial flights are not possible during a war in Ukraine it operates international charter flights.

“We're grateful for the professional partnership with AviaAM and Smartlynx Australia in making this lease arrangement possible. This aircraft will help us continue serving our passengers and expanding our operations during a critical time for Ukrainian aviation,” says Volodymyr Kamenchuk, Founder and CEO of Windrose Airlines.
