XLP member, Manuport Logistics executes complex FPSO oil & gas skid transport operation

Manuport Logistics successfully completed the transportation of an oversized oil & gas skid for an FPSO project through a highly engineered heavy transport operation. With a total transport height approaching 8 meters, the project required weeks of detailed planning, route engineering, and operational coordination to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

The operation involved a specialized trailer configuration using a powerful prime mover combined with a modular trailer setup featuring six independent axle lines. Due to the extreme transport height, detailed route surveys and multiple approvals were required before execution.

One of the key challenges included bypassing high-voltage overhead air cables at two separate points along the route. The project also required extensive technical drawings and engineering calculations to ensure operational safety and transport feasibility. A dedicated on-site supervisor monitored the entire movement in real time to maintain full control throughout the operation.
