XLP member, Freight Traders handles a part ship charter into Port of Tauranga in New Zealand

The team at Freight Traders Ltd (FTL) recently handled another part ship charter into New Zealand’s central North Island port of Tauranga.

The project comprised 108 pkgs, total weight of 538.6 tonne and total volume of 1,260 m3.

It included a generator stator; size 7.53 x 4.21 x4.36 (LWH), and weight 163 tonne and a generator rotor; size 11.8 x 1.47 x 2.11 (LWH), and weight 47.7 tonne.

As well as:

Turbine Rotor – 8.96 x 3.52 x 3.89 (LWH), 59.5 tonne

Turbine casing 1a – 8.17 x 6.18 x 3.55 (LWH), 70.2 tonne

Turbine casing 2a – 6.65 x 5.68 x 3.86 (LWH), 59.5 tonne

Turbine casing 3a – 6.78 x 4.13 x 4.05 (LWH), 37.3 tonne

Cooler frame – 8.05 x 4.14 x 3.35 (LWH), 13.5 tonne

Much of the cargo was caught under ships hook and stooled off at port for later transport to site. The project will be on-going with Freight Traders feeding shipments of all sizes and modes of transport to the site.
