Wialon partners with MapUp

Oct 27, 2025

Wialon announced a strategic partnership with MapUp, the Silicon Valley company behind TollTally, a leading GPS-based solution for real-time toll billing and reimbursements. The integration enables fleets on Wialon to access real-time toll cost data and automate financial workflows – from customer billing to driver reimbursements – improving transparency and operational efficiency.

Available immediately across Wialon’s global partner network of 2,700+ companies serving fleets in 160+ countries, the integration combines Wialon’s robust GPS tracking with MapUp’s real-time toll intelligence. Together, they deliver accurate, trip-level toll costs the moment vehicles pass toll points – transforming toll expenses from a back-office headache into a seamless part of financial operations.

Key benefits for telematics service providers include instant toll billing and reimbursements, as tolls are calculated in real time using Wialon’s GPS tracks. This allows fleets to bill customers or reimburse drivers immediately instead of waiting for agency invoices. Trip-level toll charges are automatically matched to customers, trips, and cost centers, which reduces administrative work by up to 30%. In addition, fleets gain access to detailed toll breakdowns, VAT-inclusive reports for European markets, and interactive maps that display toll charges, making it easier to share accurate information with both customers and drivers.

“The future of fleet management goes beyond vehicles and drivers – it’s also about integrating financial processes directly into telematics,” said Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon. “With this integration, we’re taking a step toward that future. Real-time toll billing and reimbursements mean fleets can treat tolls as just another data stream – accurate, transparent, and instantly actionable. For us, this is not only about removing inefficiencies, but about redefining how fleets manage costs and deliver value to their customers worldwide.”

Katie Mahlawat, Founder and CEO of MapUp, added: “By integrating TollTally with Wialon’s reach of 4.2+ million vehicles across 160+ countries, we're solving the industry's biggest pain point – toll billing delays – at a massive scale. Fleets can now eliminate toll billing delays, improve driver trust, and run more efficient operations – no matter where they drive.”

The partnership supports all fleet types on Wialon – from vehicle rental and leasing to trucking, logistics, delivery, and field operations – and leverages Wialon’s compatibility with over 3,800 GPS device models from 700+ manufacturers. For instance, rental and leasing companies can now allocate tolls to renters at the moment of vehicle return, reducing revenue leakage, eliminating manual reconciliation, and improving customer satisfaction across diverse fleet types.
