This morning Virgin Galactic announced a few exciting leadership appointments as they accelerate their path to commercialization. These leaders will play key roles as they pivot to higher rate production and widen their lens on the commercial opportunities ahead.

Doug Ahrens appointed Chief Financial Officer
Ahrens is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of significant global experience managing financial operations and strategy at public and privately-held companies within complex technology manufacturing environments, including rapidly growing companies.
Swami Iyer appointed President of Aerospace Systems
Swami has over 20 years of experience in commercial and highly classified aerospace, defense and cyber industries.
Swami will lead the engineering teams, designers, technicians, and support teams who are building the fleet of vehicles and designing the future opportunities that underpin our business.
Stephen Justice appointed Vice President of Engineering
Stephen joins with four decades of vast technical experience in defense aerospace, having spent four decades at Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works.
Steve will lead and grow a world class engineering team supporting our future spaceship development, Propulsion, and Mothership programs, as well as our longer-term efforts around high-speed point-to-point travel.
