UTC Overseas is proud to announce the latest addition to its strategic growth initiative with the opening of UTC Project Argentina in Buenos Aires. This expansion strengthens the company’s global footprint and enhances its presence across Latin America.
Buenos Aires serves as a key hub for international trade in a region rich in natural resources. Argentina is home to one of the world’s largest lithium resource bases and is part of the Lithium Triangle, alongside Chile and Bolivia. With significant long-term investments in energy, mining, and infrastructure, the country presents substantial opportunities where specialized logistics and transportation solutions are essential for successful project execution.
Pedro Widmann, Director of Global Project Development, brings extensive regional expertise that will be instrumental to the office’s success. “I have worked on projects in this region and understand the cultural nuances, regulations, and legal frameworks,” said Widmann. “With our strong knowledge base and expertise, UTC is well-positioned to support and capitalize on Argentina’s growing project landscape.”
The Buenos Aires office will be led by Gabriela Dulcic, who will report directly to Diana Davila, Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations. Dulcic brings more than 20 years of experience and a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex logistics operations.
“Over the years, UTC Overseas has developed strong partnerships throughout Latin America and Central America, creating valuable opportunities for regional expansion with both existing clients and new prospects,” said Davila. “Combined with our deep expertise in the mining and energy sectors, we have a solid foundation for long-term success in Argentina and beyond.”
Selected projects will strengthen domestic rare earth supply chains, reduce reliance on foreign sources, and improve U.S. energy security.
