US Special Delivery updates transportation management technology with CLI’s FACTS™

Apr 17, 2023

Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI), veteran providers of freight management software for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) fleets, today announced that US Special Delivery has chosen CLI and its FACTS™ solution to meet its LTL freight management needs.

“When we realized we needed to replace our legacy TMS and invest in updating our management technology, we turned to CLI,” said Terry Reed, president of US Special Delivery. “With FACTS we will have added functionality that increases efficiency, and enhanced visibility into real time data we can use to better manage our operations and business and improve customer service. We are also looking forward to using the cloud-based software because it will simplify support, and automatically include new features and updates. Overall, we expect FACTS to help us become more competitive and profitable.”

Barb Gross, director of sales and customer care at US Special Delivery, noted that FACTS was chosen by the carrier in part for the benefits it will offer shippers. “CLI’s software and self-service tools will make it much easier for our customers to maneuver in the system,” she stated. “For example, it will replace the current three-step process we have for quoting rates, scheduling pickups and generating a Bill of Lading with a single, seamless workflow. FACTS will also make the reporting we need for our sales and customer care teams more detailed and easier to access.”

US Special Delivery, founded in 1975 and headquartered in Kingsford, Michigan, provides LTL overnight delivery service in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Ontario. The carrier, along with Dohrn Transfer and Ross Express, is part of the POTG (Pitt Ohio Transportation Group) serving customers in Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and New England states. All three sister companies utilize CLI’s FACTS for their freight management needs.

“US Special Delivery is known for its commitment to exceptional customer service and value,” said Ben Wiesen, president of CLI. “We are very pleased that they have chosen to put their trust in CLI and invest in FACTS to streamline operations, improve customer satisfaction and take their freight and asset management capabilities to a higher level.”

Carrier Logistics’ FACTS™ is the premier solution for meeting the unique transportation and freight management needs of asset-based LTL carriers and the last mile industry. FACTS includes online customer shipping tools, dispatch and driver management, a superior rate engine, cross dock management, and a full back-office suite that give transportation professionals the tools they need to operate cost-effectively while providing improved freight visibility to their customers.
