Trump to speak with China’s Xi after raising tariffs, White House says

U.S. President Donald Trump will speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping within the next couple of days, his spokesperson said on Monday.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told reporters that the call would come shortly after Trump threatened to raise tariffs further on Beijing and expressed anger over fentanyl-related chemicals coming from the country as well as Chinese involvement in the Panama Canal.
