Trackonomy today announced a strategic partnership with Delta Cargo, the air cargo division of Delta Air Lines, making a significant step forward in the evolution of aviation operations. The collaboration combines Delta's leadership in innovation with Trackonomy's field-proven technology to improve orchestration of cargo and equipment at scale.
Trackonomy has spent the last seven years in stealth, fine-tuning aviation solutions to meet the needs of the world's most operationally complex and highly regulated industries. The company is on track to equip approximately 12% of all air containers and pallets worldwide—about 120,000 units. Today Trackonomy technology is orchestrating about 15 million shipments daily.
The joint solution reflects Trackonomy's long-term investment in building bespoke technology for the airline industry. In collaboration with Delta Cargo, the system is now being used to optimize containers, pallets, ground support equipment, and cargo across global cargo operations.
"Trackonomy technology materially improves airport operations," said Vishal Bhatnagar, Managing Director of Cargo Operations. "It's a major milestone in the digital transformation of our fleet of assets."
Trackonomy's network replaces and enhances aging legacy systems with a long-range, multi-radio architecture that is both more efficient to deploy and more reliable to operate. Built for scale and certified for operation in 68 countries, the system has been approved by more than 100 airlines. Today, it supports operations across more than 200 airports worldwide, covering more than 20,000 infrastructure components.
"Delta is a world-class operator and an ideal innovation partner," said Erik Volkerink, CEO of Trackonomy. "We've spent the last seven years quietly building this platform to meet the day-to-day needs of airline teams—from global air hubs to frontline operations."
Trackonomy's platform has already been deployed at scale across some of the most complex cargo operations in the world. The system integrates with both physical infrastructure and AI-driven orchestration to coordinate ULDs, ground equipment, and labor resources in real time—enabling continuous improvements in efficiency, turnaround time, and service reliability. The technology is also deeply integrated with leading Cargo Management Systems to align with global performance benchmarks and rapidly accelerate adoption.
As airlines modernize their operations, Trackonomy's technology has emerged as a foundational layer for the next generation of connected cargo and aviation infrastructure.
