The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) and Avalon Risk Management are proud to announce the recipients of the Trimester 2 2026 Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) Scholarships, recognizing outstanding professionals who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing their expertise and leadership within the third-party logistics industry.

Aman “Andy” Verma of Elite Logix has been named the recipient of the Bill Tucker Memoriam Scholarship, awarded each trimester to the student earning the highest score on the CTB prerequisite examination. In addition, Nikki Lynn Groff of Sunrise Logistics and Matthew Churchman of Frontline Logistics, Inc. have been selected as recipients of the Avalon Risk Management CTB Scholarships, which support logistics professionals pursuing the industry's premier certification.

“The CTB designation represents a commitment to professionalism, continuous learning, and excellence within the 3PL industry,” said Chris Burroughs, President & CEO of TIA. “We congratulate Andy, Nikki, and Matthew on this outstanding achievement and thank both the Tucker family and Avalon Risk Management for their continued investment in developing the next generation of logistics leaders. Their support helps ensure our industry remains strong, knowledgeable, and prepared for the challenges ahead.”

The Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) designation is the third-party logistics industry's most widely recognized professional credential, earned through a rigorous educational program and comprehensive examination. The certification demonstrates a high level of industry knowledge, ethical business practices, and professional achievement.

Jeff and Jim Tucker, sons of the late Bill Tucker and leaders at Tucker Company Worldwide, said, “Congratulations to Aman ‘Andy’ Verma of Elite Logix on being named the Trimester 2 recipient of the Bill Tucker Memoriam Scholarship. This scholarship carries special meaning because it reflects two things our father Bill cared deeply about: raising the professional standard of the transportation industry and encouraging people to continue learning, growing, and taking pride in their craft.”

As the long-standing sponsor of the CTB scholarship program, Avalon Risk Management reaffirmed its commitment to professional development across the logistics industry.

“Avalon Risk Management is proud to support TIA’s continued investment in education and professional development within the 3PL industry,” said Lisa Vranich, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Avalon Risk Management. “Together, we are committed to equipping logistics professionals with the knowledge, expertise, and resources needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving marketplace. By sponsoring two scholarships for TIA’s CTB Program, Avalon is investing in the future of the industry by supporting the growth and potential of talented individuals while fostering excellence, inspiring innovation, and strengthening the next generation of leaders shaping the future of the 3PL sector.”
