Polar King International proudly announces Chip’s Transport has been named Depot of the Year for the Polar King rental division.

The Depot of the Year award honors a freight partner demonstrating exceptional commitment to customer service, communication, and logistical performance.

Based just outside Washington D.C., Chip’s Transport has served as a Polar King freight partner for over 15 years and plays a vital role in serving the Mid-Atlantic region, says Joe O’Keefe, director of operations for the Polar King rental division.

“The team at Chip’s is the standard for great communication and customer service,” O’Keefe says. “Chip’s has delivered more than 1,000 units for us since we started working together, and they treat each pickup and delivery with the same high standards as day one. We’re grateful for their hard work and dependability over the years.”

Tom Williams, transportation manager at Chip’s says, “Our team is proud to be recognized as the Polar King Depot of the Year. We’ve had a tremendous working relationship, and we pride ourselves on taking care of customers. We are grateful for the trust, partnership, and the opportunities to help Polar King grow.”

Polar King’s rental division provides American-made, pre-assembled walk-in freezers and coolers designed for rapid setup, industry-leading reliability, and maximum energy savings. Unlike traditional metal panel units, Polar King solutions feature a seamless fiberglass construction that’s resistant to rust, corrosion, and inconsistent temperatures.

Every Polar King unit operates on standard electrical connections and is NSF- and ISO-certified for demanding environments. The rental fleet is supported by a nationwide depot network and 24/7 service hotline, ensuring rapid delivery and service for industries including foodservice, pharmaceuticals, education, agriculture, meat processing, and disaster response.
