Stonemont lands major lease at downtown Columbus industrial complex

Stonemont, an Atlanta-based private real estate investment firm specializing in industrial development, acquisitions and net lease investments, has signed a 338,509-square-foot lease at Castings Commerce Park in the South Side district of Columbus, Ohio. The deal brings the three-building, 862,000-square-foot development to 96% leased, with Building 1 now fully occupied.

Ideally located minutes from downtown Columbus, Castings Commerce Park offers prime access to highways, railways and an abundant labor pool in one of Ohio’s highest-growth markets. The Class A facility features 32’ to 40’ clear heights and ample parking for cars and trucks. Additional tenant signings at the property include a 260,640-square-foot lease with a national contractor, a 149,000-square-foot lease with a convenience retail distributor, a 31,437-square-foot lease with a last mile logistics company and a 52,000-square-foot lease with a national third party logistics provider.

“This lease is another strong indication of both the quality of Castings Commerce Park and the continued strength of the Columbus industrial market,” said Dusten Estes, executive vice president at Stonemont. “With the park nearing full occupancy, we are pleased to see tenants recognize the value of its strategic location and access to a highly skilled workforce. This milestone reflects our long-term commitment to investing in Ohio and developing facilities that meet the evolving needs of today’s industrial users.”

The KBC Advisors team of Joe Kimener and Beau Taggart represented Stonemont and the confidential undisclosed tenant in the transaction, respectively.
