Following Thursday’s joint trade agreement framework announcement between the U.S. and EU, NASDA CEO Ted McKinney weighed in on what the outlined agreement’s impact could mean for agriculture.
“NASDA applauds President Trump and President von der Leyen for their progress in negotiating the U.S.-EU trade deal. NASDA supports the ambitious objectives included in their joint statement, which include expanding markets for U.S. farmers and committing to work together to eliminate non-tariff trade barriers. State departments of agriculture are responsible for promoting agricultural products both domestically and internationally and look forward to the potential benefit of finalizing a trade deal between the U.S. and EU,” NASDA CEO Ted McKinney said.
