SMC³ to offer exclusive summer supply chain education course

Jun 30, 2020

SMC³ has opened registration for a special summer session of its “Fundamentals of LTL” supply chain education course, presented in partnership with LogisticsTrainingCenter.com.

The unique summer class, which runs July 15 to August 5, will feature live, interactive seminars hosted by Webb Estes of Estes Express, C.H. Robinson’s Greg West, Kevin Housley of J.B. Hunt and other less than truckload executives, who will provide an in-depth look at themes common to the LTL world.

Attendees of the summer session will learn to navigate the complete world of LTL operations and discuss what makes LTL transportation a key component of the domestic supply chain.

For more information and to register for the exclusive summer session, visit https://student.portal.logisticstrainingcenter.com/catalog/info/id:164.

Register by July 15 to receive a one-time, special offer of 25-percent off the class fee.

SMC³’s online LTL classes are perfect for shippers, 3PLs, carriers, freight forwarders and future supply chain leaders looking to master their LTL knowledge and propel their careers to the next level.

“As the lines between LTL and truckload transportation blur, it’s imperative that employees at every level of the supply chain have a solid grasp of less-than-truckload operations. By becoming LTL experts, shippers and 3PLs may even be able to use that knowledge to expand their provider base and improve their existing processes,” said Brian Thompson, chief commercial officer at SMC³.

“Our summer session adds more value to the standard SMC³ course by providing students with a live forum where they can engage directly with LTL thought leaders.”

SMC³ online coursework is on-demand, allowing attendees to work at their own pace, and the summer session is no exception. Students will need to view the live sessions at a given date and time in order to interact with the speakers, but each session will also be recorded for later viewing.

The eight-hour fundamentals class beginning July 15 is the first component of SMC³’s five-course, intensive LTL education program. SMC³ created the supply chain education classes to share its lifetime of LTL expertise with logistics stakeholders and future supply chain leaders looking take their careers to the next level. The program covers everything LTL professionals need to know about the industry: operations, carrier pricing and costing, transportation laws and regulations, and business analytics.
