Shippeo, the European leader in real-time transportation visibility solutions, announced today record growth in the first half of 2020. The company’s subscription revenue grew 204% year-on-year despite the unprecedented global economic impact of Covid-19. The transportation visibility provider now has the fastest-growing customer base in Europe as businesses seek expertise on end-to-end supply chain visibility and resiliency within the complex European market.
“Companies are naturally looking at ways to build operational resilience right now while at the same time reducing costs, boosting efficiencies and protecting the health of their teams,” says Lucien Besse, Chief Operating Officer at Shippeo. “Visibility platforms are an obvious solution for enhancing supply chain capabilities since they avoid capital expenditure and integrate with existing systems, unlocking a lot of hidden value. Things like granular tracking down to the handling unit to help overcome carrier capacity challenges, minimizing hygiene risks by introducing paperless workflows or enabling dynamic routing to reduce carbon footprints are all made quick and easy with our solution.”
Since January, Shippeo has welcomed several new large international brands, including Fressnapf Group, Europe’s largest retailer for pet supplies; Rubix, the European leader in industrial engineering and personal protective equipment; Eckes Granini, the largest company specializing in the production of fruit juices in Europe; and Thyssenkrupp Materials France. Several logistics providers, including Serbian leader Milsped Group, the established Dutch player Ewals Cargo Care and Luxembourg-based Redspher, have also chosen Shippeo’s visibility platform. Recently, the company announced new strategic partnerships with TMS solutions provider Alpega and leading supply chain logistics consulting and 4PL services provider 4flow. The collaborations aim to make it easier for customers to overcome transport management challenges by leveraging deep TMS integrations, making it easy to take advantage of real-time visibility’s many benefits.
“We’re thrilled to have welcomed some really reputable and innovative brands in recent months throughout what has been an incredibly uncertain period,” Lucien Besse says, citing that it’s Shippeo’s unique approach, capabilities and solution quality that appear to be winning customers over. “Our teams work really hard to provide the best solution on the market. We offer a best-in-market ETA prediction in terms of accuracy and reliability as well as a more granular degree of multimodal tracking, right down to handling unit and goods levels, which supports all modes of transport including ocean, road, LTL, FTL and last mile. Our recently launched mobile app introduces a range of new functionality, from parcel and pallet scanning through to eBill of Lading (eCMR) . We also offer expert support to our customers throughout the whole onboarding process.” To date, Shippeo has achieved 98% in carrier satisfaction for their onboarding experience, which Lucien Besse attributes to their powerful Onboarding Automation Center. “It really makes the whole process effortless for shippers and extremely simple for carriers.”
Shippeo CEO Pierre Khoury is also proud that the company has added 33 new team members since January, of which 15 were hired and remotely onboarded during lockdown. “We’ve been fortunate to be able to continue to grow our talented team despite Covid, and we remain laser-focused on delivering our promises to customers,” says Pierre Khoury, adding that Shippeo has 40 more open positions and a great pipeline of product enhancements underway as the company strives to stay ahead of the competition.
