Savage and Ridgewood Infrastructure announce rebranding of East Coast marine terminals as Relay Terminals

Apr 02, 2025

Savage and Ridgewood Infrastructure announced today the creation of Relay Terminals, bringing together the Carolina Marine Terminal in Wilmington, North Carolina, and the Nassau Marine Terminal in Fernandina Beach, Florida, under a single brand and leadership. This unified structure will enhance customer service and position the terminals for continued growth.

Industry veteran Ted McNair has been appointed president of Relay Terminals, joining the company from national stevedoring firm Metro Ports. With decades of experience in stevedoring, terminal operations and logistics, McNair will oversee the strategic direction and growth of the Relay Terminals business.

“The Relay Terminals brand represents our commitment to operational excellence, customer service and reliability,” said McNair. “With a fresh identity and a strong foundation, we’re reinforcing our ability to deliver tailored offerings for the markets we serve.”

Relay Terminals’ mission is to deliver efficient, resilient and safe solutions, positioning the company as a true supply chain partner. Specializing in maritime operations, Relay Terminals provides stevedoring services for bulk, breakbulk and containerized cargo at its North Carolina and Florida locations, along with drayage and warehousing solutions across northern Florida.

The name Relay Terminals reflects the facilities’ critical role in the supply chain — receiving and passing along cargo with precision and care. Backed by an experienced workforce, robust infrastructure and a customer-centric approach, Relay Terminals is poised to expand its presence and play an increasingly vital role in maritime trade and logistics.
