Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar met to discuss the U.S.-India commercial relationship. Secretary Raimondo expressed interest in continued engagement with the Government of India as the United States moves toward the launch of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. She also shared updates on the U.S.-India CEO Forum, which is an important mechanism for the United States and India to deepen commercial ties and reduce barriers to trade.
