The everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards celebrates the vital contribution women make to the transport and logistics industries, showcasing talent and determination across the sector. The “Tech Innovator Award” specifically recognises women who are pioneering technological advancements and driving digital transformation in these fields.

Currently working as an app and cloud developer for RAD, Nastaran’s nomination acknowledges her exceptional contribution to RAD Propulsion's development of cutting-edge electric marine propulsion systems, which are helping to revolutionise the maritime industry with more sustainable and efficient solutions.

“From a young age, I was deeply curious about technologies, but where I grew up women didn’t pursue a career in engineering. I was determined to earn a first-class degree in computer science and came to the UK,” Nastaran, who is from Iran, said in her finalist’s speech.

“After gaining a software engineering degree, I started at RAD Propulsion as an app and cloud developer. So far, I’ve processed over 111 million data points and been working on our mobile app that brings together engineering, data, and real-time communication. I still offer online voluntary courses to students in Iran, sharing what I’ve learned to empower others.”

Harry Beadle, head of embedded systems at RAD Propulsion, commented: "We are extremely proud of Nastaran's recognition in these awards. Her creative thinking has been important to our team as we continue to develop our new electric propulsion solutions. This nomination showcases Nastaran's individual talent as well as highlighting RAD Propulsion's commitment to fostering diversity and excellence in the marine technology sector."

The winners of the everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards 2025 will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 26 June at the Park Plaza London Riverbank.
