Punto Systems Group and fellow XLP member, Freight Traders, export 100 ton rig and accessories

Aug 27, 2020

Punto Systems Group (Italy) was recently engaged to export a 100 ton rig and its accessories from New Zealand to The Philippines, and they enlisted fellow XLP members Freight Traders Ltd, based in New Zealand, to assist.

After three years the cargo owner had worked through many local agents to export the rig without success. However, after engaging Punto Systems Group and Freight Traders, it became apparent they were the right team for the job. Within two weeks the rig was packed and ready for export. The project was a challenge due to the fact the rig had been in storage for three years, and the clients local crew had disbursed, leaving Punto and Freight Traders to work through export formalities, during the COVID-19 lockdown. The main unit was 16.55L x 3.5W x 4.1H / 100 ton and accompanied by over 200m3 of accessories. Tasks included sorting, re-packing, cleaning, transport to port, all export customs & document formalities, unloading, mafi securing and then ocean freight to the final destination. The project was delivered and exported on time and on budget.
