Polaris with local handling of construction equipment in the UAE

Jul 28, 2020

Polaris Shipping Agencies in the UAE have successfully handled the local operations for a project delivery of construction equipment from Europe arriving at Port Hamriyah in Sharjah.

Their scope of work was to complete all related inward customs formalities, receive the shipment under hook, storage in a designated area and subsequent delivery to the receivers site.

The shipment, of around 2,000ft of construction equipment, included heavy lifts with unit weights of 70mt and was received on suitable trailers with no delay to the vessel as required with the shipment arriving on liner terms to receive the cargo as fast as the vessel can discharge.

Furthermore, the shipment arrived on MV. BBC Vesuvius, operated by BBC Chartering who are represented in the Middle East by Polaris Shipping Agencies, enabling them to coordinate the delivery smoothly.
