Nord Gas Solutions’ LNG regasification system selected for Exmar FSRU conversion

one hour ago

Nord Gas Solutions will supply an LNG regasification system module for Belgium based Exmar. The system will be installed as part of the conversion of a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) needed as part of the expansion of the EemsEnergyTerminal in Eemshaven, Netherlands. The order with Nord Gas Solutions was booked in Q2 2026.

“EXMAR and EemsEnergyTerminal continue to work towards an improved LNG import solution for Europe’s energy security, and the Nord Gas Solutions regasification technology will play an important role in this. Our long partnership with Nord Gas Solutions and their unmatched experience in delivering regasification systems for FSRU conversions was a key factor in selecting Nord for this project.” says Carl-Antoine Saverys, Chief Executive Officer, Exmar.

“Regasification systems represent a core segment for us in which we are market leaders,” comments Pål Steinnes, Head of Sales Midstream, Nord Gas Solutions. “Exmar is a longstanding customer, and we are delighted to have been selected again by them for this important project.”

Exmar and Nord Gas Solutions have worked closely on a number of earlier projects, mostly involving systems for newbuild vessels.

Nord Gas Solutions is a new corporate brand formed following the acquisition of Wärtsilä Gas Solutions by Mutares SE & Co. KGaA.
