NCBFAA elects new officers and board members for 2024-2026

The National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA), following its 51st Annual Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on April 14-17, finalized its election today of a new slate officers and board members to govern the association for 2024-2026.

The 2024-2026 NCBFAA Officers include:

President: Jose D. (JD) Gonzalez, JD Gonzalez LCB, Laredo, TX

Vice President: Kristiann App, J.W. Allen & Company, Saint Rose, LA

Secretary: Laurie Arnold, JAS USA, Atlanta, GA

Treasurer: Karen Damon, Mohawk Global, N. Syracuse, NY

Past-President Jan Fields will serve as NCBFAA Chairman.

“I am deeply grateful to the members of NCBFAA for their trust in granting me a second term,” said NCBFAA President Jose D. (JD) Gonzalez. “With this Executive Board, we stand to build upon the remarkable momentum our association has cultivated in the past couple of years.”

“I am delighted to welcome the new slate of Officers and Board members for the 2024-26 year,” said NCBFAA Executive Vice President Megan Montgomery. “Our volunteer leaders are the lifeblood of our association, and I look forward to working with them and supporting their vision for the next chapter in the NCBFAA.”

The following individuals were also elected during the Annual Conference to serve on the NCBFAA Board of Directors for a two-year term commencing May 2024:

Area 1 – Jerrod Nutt, A.N. Deringer, Inc., Champlain, NY

Area 2 – Dave Corn, Comstock/CJ Holt, Oradell, NJ

Area 3 – Mark Tedesco, John A. Steer Co., Philadelphia, PA

Area 4 – Ralph De La Rosa, Imperial Freight Brokers, Inc., Doral, FL

Area 5 – Scott Larson, MOL Logistics (USA) Inc., Elk Grove Village, IL

Area 6 – Lori Azzopardi, EFI Logistics, Inc., San Francisco, CA

Area 7 – Melzana Wilson, Mullins International Solutions, Memphis, TN

Area 8 – Eduardo Lozano, Eduardo E. Lozano & Co., Inc., Laredo, TX

Area 9 – Patty Tschaepe, J&K Fresh, LLC, El Segundo, CA

Gonzalez said the new slate of NCBFAA Officers and Board Members will strive to advance automation in the customs brokerage and freight forwarding industry and increase collaboration with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on new initiatives.

“To our outgoing members, I extend sincere appreciation for their service, while warmly welcoming new faces to our team. And to all directors, past, present, and future, I extend heartfelt thanks for your unwavering dedication to NCBFAA's noble mission,” Gonzalez said.

“I extend my sincerest gratitude to Victoria Lane for her invaluable service on the board, notably as NCBFAA Vice President from 2022 to 2024,” he said. “Throughout her tenure, Victoria adeptly navigated numerous complexities within our industry, offering a range of perspectives and insightful guidance that proved instrumental to our organization's growth. We are privileged to have benefited from her exceptional talent, dedication, and unwavering support for NCBFAA. As she transitions to her role with select committees within NCBFAA, we eagerly anticipate her continued leadership and the contributions she will undoubtedly bring to our mission.”
