Mexico, US to keep negotiating toward trade deal, Mexico economy ministry says

Mexico's Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard met with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and agreed both countries would continue negotiating toward a trade agreement, the Economy Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Ebrard and Greer said they agreed on next steps in the talks, aiming to reach a deal before the scheduled review of the USMCA in 2026, the ministry added.
