For Greater China Area, terminal operations continue vessel loading and discharge at current stage. All warehouses, depots and offices will follow instructions of the local government to resume operations. The barge operation from Wuhan will gradually start to resume. Canada has introduced a new policy for foreign-flagged ships arriving at Canada ports. As part of Canada’s 96 hour Pre-arrival Inspection Notice (PAIR) and 24 hour PAIR, respectively – the vessel Master must now advise Transport Canada Marine Safety and Security of any crew or passengers with Coronavirus symptoms.
Import Port Storage calculation exceptionally skipped for mother vessel ports of Yantian, Shekou (Chiwan) and Nansha
To relieve the negative impact on your import cargo arrangement and based on terminal offers, Maersk will further exceptionally skip the import port storage for mother vessel ports with below details:
Yantian: Skip the import port storage calculation for 31 Jan – 09 Feb (only covers Normal Dry and In Gauge Special Cargo)
Shekou (Chiwan): Skip the import port storage calculation for 24 Jan – 09 Feb (only covers Normal Dry and In Gauge Special Cargo)
Nansha: Skip the import port storage calculation for 31 Jan – 09 Feb (only covers Normal Dry and Special Cargo)

Holiday Extensions
In line with below work-resuming dates:
For the staff who resumed work starting 3 Feb, majority continue to work from home;
For areas where staff are still on extended holiday, Customer Service teams are working on on-duty plans together with respective account teams in collaboration with customers to mitigate any potential impact to customers’ cargo plans.
