Logistaas adds new courier tracking and IATA file reading tools to TMS

Sep 16, 2025

Logistaas has unveiled two new features within its transport management system (TMS), strengthening its use of automation to support freight forwarders worldwide.

The updates add courier shipment tracking and International Air Transport Association (IATA) CASS file reading, digitalising traditionally manual and time-consuming processes.

“Our focus at Logistaas has always been on enabling freight forwarders to work smarter, faster, and keep up with the changes happening in the supply chain digital ecosystem,” said Kareem Naouri, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Logistaas.

“These new tools build on our TMS’s existing capabilities, enhancing its ability to improve data accuracy at every stage, all the while simplifying processes for our clients’ teams.”

The courier shipment tracking feature expands Logistaas’ existing visibility tools, adding courier shipments handled by major global companies alongside container and air cargo movements.

This functionality automatically updates shipment dates, milestones, and routing information, while alerting users and customers to any changes in arrival times.

Logistaas’ new file reading tool automates the processing of IATA CASS files in Excel format, allowing its TMS to verify that every shipment in the file is registered, compare actual charges with expected costs, and flag discrepancies with clear reports.

This reduces the need for operators to manually check potentially hundreds of shipments each month.

“Processing CASS files has traditionally been a time-consuming task for cargo agents,” Naouri explained.

“By automating this process, we not only cut down administrative workload but also help users detect and resolve billing issues more quickly.”

Both features went live earlier this month and form part of Logistaas’ wider development of advanced digital tools using automation.
