Jettainer and IBS Software forge strategic partnership to transform ULD and cargo management

Oct 14, 2025

Jettainer and IBS Software today announced a long-term strategic partnership to transform the way airlines and ground handlers manage unit load devices (ULDs) and cargo operations.

Through this partnership, Jettainer will integrate its next-generation ULD management solution, JettWareNG, with IBS Software's industry leading digital cargo management platforms iCargo and iPartner Handling, via a state-of-the-art API interface. This enhanced connection will enable faster, more secure, and seamless data exchange across the air cargo ecosystem.

The integration will allow Jettainer's intelligent ULD management solutions to operate within IBS Software’s comprehensive cargo environment, helping customers improve planning efficiency, streamline workflows and enhance data driven decision making. Initial integration capabilities are expected to be available late 2025.

This new level of integration will unlock a range of additional benefits for both airlines and ground handlers, by ensuring that information is delivered faster and more directly to where it is needed. In the area of ULD positioning, for example, it is planned that move orders will no longer need to be executed manually but can be integrated automatically into the loading plans. In addition, general process transparency, such as sharing tracking data via ONE Record, will lead to further benefits, including a real-time overview of current ULD positions and availability at individual locations.

The partnership is designed as a long-term collaboration. The next step will see further integration: Jettainer customers who also use iPartner Handling will be enabled to access both services under the iPartner Handling umbrella. This eliminates the need for customers to operate with two systems.

“Partnering with IBS Software marks a key milestone in our digital strategy, which is dedicated to creating added value and efficiency for our customers. Integrating with the world's most widespread air cargo handling system and a well-established digital ecosystem is a logical next step for us. IBS Software’s cargo management platforms are an ideal match, as we share the vision of leveraging digital opportunities to connect data in meaningful ways – driving the digital transformation of ULD management and cargo operations,” says Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt, CEO of Jettainer.

“This cooperation not only represents an expansion of the IBS Software network. It’s another part of our efforts to invest in the development of advanced digital tools to enable airlines and ground handlers to become more competitive and successful,” says Radhesh Menon, Head of Cargo & Logistics Solutions at IBS Software. “Together with Jettainer, we want to take ULD management to the next level. By linking JettwareNG, iCargo and iPartner Handling, we can provide customers with more and better data.”
