Interstate Cold Storage boosts warehouse efficiency with new equipment investment

Feb 07, 2024

Interstate Cold Storage (ICS), a leading provider of temperature-controlled solutions, announces its recent investment in two state-of-the-art lift trucks aimed at streamlining and optimizing warehousing and logistics processes at its Columbus I facility.

Don Chambers, Director of Operations at Interstate Cold Storage, emphasizes the significance of this investment, stating, "While the addition of these lift trucks may seem incremental, the impact is far-reaching. This advanced equipment allows us to handle products with heightened efficiency, meeting the dynamic demands of our customers and contributing to substantial operational dividends."

This marks ICS' second strategic upgrade in warehousing equipment in recent months, following the successful implementation of new forklifts at its Columbus II facility in October. These investments underscore the company's unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Interstate Cold Storage operates five strategically located facilities across Ohio and Indiana, including Columbus, Napoleon, and Fort Wayne, where it offers a range of cold storage warehousing solutions. Services provided include cold storage, temporary storage, quick-freezing, space-guarantee programs, and rail access. Recognized among the top 20 North American refrigerated warehousing companies by the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses, ICS stands as a testament to industry excellence.
