InterMax creates heavy transport transit history

Oct 24, 2024

InterMax Logistics Solution Ltd, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Taiwan, proudly announces having successfully completed the transport of an oversized aircraft tractor under non-sealing conditions, from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port Area to Central Asia in customs transfer mode.

The 50-ton behemoth passed through customs without a seal!

Imagine the journey of an aircraft tractor, carrying the dreams of aviation, departing from the distant Thailand and traversing mountains and rivers before finally arriving in Kazakhstan.

This is not just a geographical span, but also a triumphant voyage of logistical challenges! By chance, one day you might find yourself boarding a flight in Kazakhstan that was pushed from the tarmac to the runway by this tractor, ready to take flight into the blue sky!

A spokesperson for InterMax proudly stated: “Faced with such a large and complex piece of equipment, how to meet the regulatory requirements of the Customs without customs sealing, and the transportation requirements of the customer to complete the entire customs transfer process, was undoubtedly a major challenge for us. TheInterMax team coordinated four Customs functional departments in Shanghai Customs District and Xinjiang Customs District, and finally developed a perfect customs transfer plan after countless discussions and optimizations.

The success of this transportation not only marks another breakthrough of InterMax Logistics in the field of cross-border transportation of oversize equipment, but also sets a new benchmark for the logistics industry in Shanghai Port. We have created a precedent for transfer and customs transfer transportation, providing valuable experience and reference for the implementation of similar projects in the future.”
