Hong Kong terminals achieve IEnvA sustainability certification

Cathay Cargo Terminal and Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) announced today that they had both successfully achieved IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) certification, becoming the first cargo handling companies to achieve IEnvA in Asia.

IEnvA is a comprehensive certification program developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It independently assesses the commitment of aviation stakeholders including airlines, airports, cargo-handling facilities, freight forwarders, and ramp handlers, to continuously improve their environmental and sustainability performance. By adhering to globally recognized standards and industry best practices, IEnvA ensures that organizations minimize negative impacts on the environment while maintaining operational excellence.

Cathay Cargo Terminal Chief Operating Officer Mark Watts said: “This significant milestone demonstrates our unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.
