Heavy transformer to North Macedonia

Jan 23, 2023

Just a few days before wrapping up a great year, Cosmatos Shipping Services was appointed to coordinate the reception of a transformer with weight 240 tons with dimensions of 10,09 x 4,12 x 4,31 meter

A challenging operation that required a tantem lift by two 500 ton lifting capacity mobile cranes until the cargo was safely laid on the special truck for inland transportation to North Macedonia.

The project team from Cosmatos Group took care of the arriving ship’s husbandry, the unwelding/unlashing operation, the stevedoring and cranage as well as the transit customs formalities to North Macedonia.

From Thessaloniki Port the project team of Cosmatos Group arranged for the safe transport of Military Vehicles and Containers to final destination in a Balkan State.

The scope of work covered Ship Husbandry, Port Stevedoring, Customs Formalities, Special Road Transport, O/G Road permits, Escorts and Border clearance.
