German project experts handle Windfarm monopiles for Taiwan

LS Cargo Logistics GmbH, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Germany, has been contracted to transport 21 Monopiles plus 4 Monopile Sections from various ports to a newly established storage area in Taichung, Taiwan.

The individual units have a weight of up to 1.450 tons, length of 90 meter and a diameter of 8 meter. Recently the project started with the first shipment of the Yunlin Relocation Project.

The shipments are performed by the MV Fairmaster of Jumbo Maritime.

Project management and port supervision is done by the onsite experts of the LS Cargo Team. Next year these Monopiles will be installed and become part of the OWF Yunlin windfarm which is currently under development.
