Frontier Airlines launches service at FLL with 12 new nonstop routes

Feb 17, 2022

Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines today begins service at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) with 12 new nonstop routes starting by this Saturday, including daily flights to seven cities. Frontier’s return to FLL is in addition to existing operations in Miami and West Palm Beach to mark the airline’s largest presence ever in South Florida. An additional route to Chicago-Midway begins in Oct. To celebrate the new FLL flights, the airline is offering fares as low as $29*.

“With our return to Fort Lauderdale, consumers can now enjoy ‘Low Fares Done Right’ from every major airport in the region,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “We look forward to enabling more South Floridians to take advantage of signature low fares and friendly service on America’s Greenest Airline to reach destinations across the U.S. and internationally, as well as bring increased tourism to the state of Florida.”

"We welcome Frontier's resumption of operations at FLL and anticipate a successful renewed partnership," said Mark Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation of the Broward County Aviation Department, FLL's operator. "Frontier's new slate of nonstop service offers additional destination options with low fares from Fort Lauderdale for leisure and business travelers."

Frontier is focused on more than low fares. The carrier offers customers the ability to customize travel to their needs and budget. For example, customers can purchase options a la carte or in one low-priced bundle called the WORKS. This bundle includes refundability, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, the best available seat, waived change fees, and priority boarding.

The airline’s frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, lets members enjoy many benefits as well as the ability to attain Elite status. Like the airline, FRONTIER Miles is family friendly and the program makes it easy for families to enjoy the rewards together, including family pooling of miles. FRONTIER Miles is aptly named because you earn one mile for every mile flown – no funny formulas at Frontier. Whether customers travel a little or a lot, they will find FRONTIER Miles rewarding.
